Sofiya Portuhay

Sofiya joined the Value & Evidence division of EVERSANA in 2021 as a Research Assistant.
At EVERSANA, Sofiya has supported systematic and targeted literature reviews across various disease areas, such as various cancers, pulmonary arterial hypertension and angioedema, etc. She also has experience in feasibility assessments and indirect treatment comparisons.
Prior to joining the team, Sofiya worked as a Medical Transcriptionist and Research Assistant. She focused on autoimmune disorders, allergic conditions, and their impact on mental health.
Sofiya holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from McMaster University. She completed her undergraduate thesis project at the Thrombosis and Atherosclerosis Research Institute, focusing on the effects of gene manipulation on left ventricular plaque development, as well as the regenerative role of myofibroblasts post myocardial infarction.
She is currently pursuing her MSc in Health Systems Research at the University of Toronto.
