Vanitha brings more than 20 years of experience in the area of medical communications and medical strategy. She is passionate about bringing medical science and storytelling together. She has training in both biomedicine and creative writing, which enables her to approach medical strategy from a unique angle. She has also had a breadth of different experiences in medical communications and healthcare marketing; in addition to her agency experience, she has served in roles such as client-side med affairs, medical strategy in small and large pharma, and even non- profit work in the public health space. She thrives on making connections between the science of a disease and real-world impact it has on patients and their care teams.
Over the years, Vanitha has led successful product launches in a variety of spaces, including hematology/oncology, neurology, immunology, dermatology, and rare diseases. She also has years of experience in pediatric diseases, EGIDs and the biotech space. When she’s not at work, she’s usually writing creatively and is a published novelist.
