Expertise:
As a health economist with over 15 years of experience, Heather has led global health economic and market access programs, as well as local reimbursement projects involving economic modeling, evidence generation, strategy and value communication. Her expertise extends to reimbursement submission strategy, with a focus on pharmaceutical health technology assessment (HTA), including complex submissions involving emerging technologies such as advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), including cell and gene therapies. Additionally, she specializes in supporting medical device reimbursement and uptake.
Heather leads the development of product value communication tools and evidence synthesis activities, including systematic literature reviews and indirect treatment comparisons. She ensures that messaging and strategy resonate across all components, effectively demonstrating product value. Her experience spans various therapeutic areas, including oncology and hematology, diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune and rare diseases.
Heather holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in biochemistry and a Ph.D. in medical science from McMaster University.
