Barkha is a Manager on the Value & Evidence team at EVERSANA and supports various projects in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR). Since joining in 2021, Barkha has worked on a number of manuscripts and other value communication tools related to indirect treatment comparisons and medical devices, critical appraisals and objection handlers, targeted literature reviews, and cost-effectiveness analyses. Barkha has published over 25 peer-reviewed scientific papers and worked across several therapeutic areas, including neuromuscular disease, immunology, dermatology, endocrinology, and rare diseases.
Barkha holds an Honours BSc in Biology with a Minor in English from McMaster University, an MSc in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University, a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto, and a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University.

A Matching-Adjusted Indirect Comparison (MAIC) of Guselkumab Versus Risankizumab in Patients With Moderate-to-Severe Plaque Psoriasis
Psoriasis (PsO) patients have multiple biologic treatments to choose from, including the interleukin-23 inhibitors guselkumab and risankizumab. Both have demonstrated superior skin efficacy, as assessed using Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) scores, in their respective trials. While no direct comparisons between these treatments have been conducted, indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs) can be used to help inform treatment selection for clinicians.
